Feta and White Bean Hummus
HIGH PROTEIN SNACK IDEA!
Ever since I made that incredible homemade hummus a few weeks ago (also on the blog), I’ve realized how easy and inexpensive it is to make my own dips at home. And since I will die eating Violife’s vegan feta, I knew I had to use it for this recipe. If you’re typically a skeptic of plant based cheeses, I promise that your life will be forever changed once you try this stuff. It melts so easily and goes well on literally everything, and actually tastes like real, super creamy feta. Not sponsored lol, just a genuine huge fan!!
Anyways, I wanted to make a higher protein hummus which is why I opted for white beans, but I’m assuming chickpeas would also work. I love incorporating white beans into my diet often because they have a higher protein content than most other beans & legumes, and are rich in magnesium, iron, copper, potassium, selenium, and calcium. They’re also an amazing source of Vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant in the body by fighting cell-damaging free radicals and reducing oxidative stress. Lastly, I personally find them to be much more tolerable on the gut than other beans - but everybody & every body is unique so this may not be the case for you.
Now without further ado, I present the creamiest & most delicious white bean hummus.
Recipe below!
